The interactions of multicellular chemical structures with the environment are studied numerically. These structures develop from a single perturbation in a 2-D array of diffusion coupled chemical cells forming very complex, highly organized and beautiful patterns. During interactions with the environment, these structures exhibit a self-repairing property, learning capacity and "chemotaxis". Many of the observed features were never seen in continuous media.
