Symmetry Breaking and the Origin of Life

Symmetry Breaking occurs in reaction and and diffusion systems and in Spin glasses. Both of these systems have been used to model the Origin of Life. However in the case of reaction and diffusion models there is a lack of an Order parameter and in the case of the Spin glasses there is the lack of a dynamics since the are systems at equilibrium. We then consider the general case of cellular automata and probabilistic cellular automata in particular. The clay theory for the Origin of Life is used to evaluate the various abstract models for the Origin of Life.
