|Measures for entanglement of quantum systems|

In this work we shall present a quantitative measure for the entanglement of any number of quantum subsystems with arbitrary finite-dimensional Hilbert spaces. The formalism will also provide a means to study entanglement in the limiting case where the dimensionality of any quantum subsystem tends to infinity. This kind of classical limit, or limit of large quantum numbers, is interesting by itself but also from the point of view of the quantum computation. In that case the coupled subsystems can be a finite dimensional quantum register in contact with a large bath system.
