|Study of wave phenomena in physically-coupled device arrays using the Helmholtz equation as a model|

We study wave propagation in and other "interesting" behavior of quantum-coupled arrays. The local connection rules are constrained to be compatible with the interactions between the actual physical components in the device structure. We use the discretized Helmholtz equation as a computation model to study the relationship between local connection rules and overall array behavior. The goal of this work is to identify systems where a computational task naturally maps onto the physical interactions between its components.
